Our Dark skin avocados are some of the best in the country, and that’s only being partly biased. They are rich and nutty in flavour when compared to the green skin varieties.
The skin of these avocadoes turn a dark purple/black when they are ripe and ready to eat.
Our Dark skin avocados varieties include Hass, Maluma and Lamb Hass.
They help in lowering the risk of heart disease, promotes gut health, protects your eyes, increases brain function, are almost free of sodium and are a great source of potassium. This is just to name a few..
Perfect for adding to salads, on toast and paired with Bev’s Bounty’s Macadamia Nut Dukkah, as guacamole or simply by itself.
*Just a reminder with all avocado deliveries and especially late season avocados, please open the boxes when they arrive and keep in a cool place if you wish to keep them from unripening quickly. Avocados naturally release a ripening agent called ethylene gas. When stored together and in a closed container, they ripen much faster.
